As an early participant in artificial intelligence, Purdy HO obtained her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and MBA degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her master’s thesis advisor was Professor Tomaso Poggio, the founder of the global autonomous driving giant Mobileye. Early in her career, Ms. HO worked at Hewlett Packard Labs in the US, focusing on AI and machine learning research, publishing papers for an international academic forum, and securing two US patents. After receiving her MBA, she worked primarily in New York, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, and conducted industry research in sectors such as mining and Asian gaming at Nomura Securities. In 2016, she worked as Chief Analyst for Global Markets at Tianfeng Securities in Shanghai, covering the Macau gaming industry for the first time in China, and successfully identifying US tech stocks such as NVIDIA and AMD. In 2020, she joined CITIC Securities as Global Industry Chief Strategist, continuing her research on technology and consumer industries with a global perspective. In 2023, Ms. HO joined Huatai Securities as the Chief Analyst for Overseas Technology.
