John Devaney is a Director of Equity Sales Trading at Huatai Securities (USA) in New York. His prime responsibility is the sales trading coverage of US investors interested in Chinese capital markets. In this role, he works closely with the global Huatai equity sales, capital markets and operational teams to facilitate the investment goals of institutional investors.

Prior to joining Huatai, John spent 6 years at China Renaissance Securities US in a similar role. John held global trading positions at Jefferies LLC and Nomura Securities in New York and spent his earlier career as a buyside equity trader.

John received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Fordham University.
